The Senior Director, Technology Platform Engineering is responsible for the architectural underpinnings of all technology platforms and related services required to effectively serve Wedgewood Pharmacy's business needs while balancing the competing elements of integration, flexibility, security, and cost-efficiency.
The individual in this role ensures that contracts and supplier execution to support the mission, goals, and operational needs are provided in a timely, accurate, creative, and cost-effective manner.
As a member of the IT leadership team, the role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide technology strategy and its alignment with the business strategy and delivering required capabilities to achieve business success.
This individual will have a diversified background in technology engineering and supporting solutions across a variety of platforms, infrastructure and network configurations, cybersecurity, and service management.
Demonstrated acumen related to technology sourcing, solution delivery, project management, vendor management are essential along with a superior, service-oriented approach to platform engineering and partnering with stakeholders.
Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making and communication skills are necessary to perform the functions as described.
Must be adept at navigating the business, persuading, influencing, and negotiating with others as necessary to effect change.
Strong business and financial acumen with a sense of shared responsibility are essential.
Where will you work? This is a full-time position working a hybrid schedule in our Swedesboro, NJ location, however we are open to considering remote candidates having the ability to periodically travel to our corporate office.
What you'll do:
Work closely with the CIO, technology peers, and Wedgewood Pharmacy's leaders to develop the platform technology vision and direction for the enterprise, including, but not limited to IaaS, PaaS, networking, cybersecurity, and others.
Lead the development of the technology engineering strategy and roadmap and insure alignment with enterprise architecture and integration across the broader IT and enterprise strategic plans.
Architect cost-effective, secure, and flexible infrastructure solutions that offer the agility and scalability needed to evolve with changing business priorities and operating needs.
Author, deploy, and maintain policies, standards, governance processes, and performance analytics capabilities across all technology platforms to insure optimized service.
Direct activities associated with the full-life-cycle oversight of all infrastructure services and capabilities.
Maintain a complete set of architectural artifacts that accurately reflect the technology constructs, interrelationships, and capabilities.
Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continuous improvement techniques.
Lead technology platform engineering efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities.
Provide oversight for the design and development of IT platforms that fulfill the needs of the business in alignment with IT Strategy and strategic partnerships.
Build and maintain relationships required to establish a clear understanding of business needs.
Work with the IT leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources for key initiatives and operational support.
Create and manage the OPEX and CAPEX budgets that support the essential responsibilities of the position.
Remain current on evolving technologies and platforms and provide direction on emerging solutions that should be introduced, integrated, and assimilated within infrastructure and operations.
Guide the sourcing strategy for vendor / partner relationships and ongoing management.
Maintain a leading-edge approach to recruitment, development, and retention of the assigned team.
Actively develop staff members in accordance with the company's people development processes.

Obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or other technical discipline Have 10 to 15 years' experience leading IT Infrastructure engineering, IT Operations, service desk, and or cybersecurity teams involving hybrid computing environments and managed service provider offerings.
Developed a strong background in creating secure cloud architectures for customer facing applications that are enterprise grade and highly scalable.
Effectively managed cross-functional teams influencing key stakeholders across the organization and within complex contexts.
Navigated a matrixed organization and encouraged stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated experience with platform and systems engineering across a broad range of public cloud offerings.
Experience sourcing, implementing, and integrating technology capabilities related to SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, FaaS.
Actualized success in overseeing the delivery and ongoing operational performance related to network services, firewalls, wireless networks, end-point management, identity management, active directory data integration platforms, cybersecurity, and other areas.
