We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and dependable Collections Specialist in the Swedesboro, NJ area. This person will:
Perform and coordinate credit and collections efforts in support of multiple Business Units. Create awareness of customer business activities, such as bankruptcies, business dealings, credit ratings, and bad debts.
Key Responsibilities
Positively influence collections to impact regional receivables in a timely manner
Identify, research and resolve / collect current and aged accounts
Review customer files and contracts
Work with all levels of the organization to help resolve collection issues
Document and track all collection efforts on a weekly basis
Identify and recommend accounts for legal or collection agency action.
Work with attorneys in various states to resolve collection issues through legal action
Prepare additional reports when needed
Assist in credit approval as needed. Examine credit data of clients and suppliers.
Monitor and manage past due accounts, issuing follow-up letter if payment is not received.
Set up condition of payment schedule, working positively with sales reps and customers to maintain sound relationships.
Responsible for credit and collection status report.
Able to perform credit checks, read bank information, read basic financial statements, and familiarity with Dun and Bradstreet credit information to grant or deny extensions of credit
Conduct training sessions covering credit and collection techniques
Additional Job Functions
Exchange information and share best practices with counterparts in other Areas
Facilitate improvements across the Rental Center by proactively providing feedback and input to other functions
Backup support for sales calls during business hours to ensure customer needs are met.
Maintain strong Aggreko organizational understanding by continually refreshing knowledge with regards to other functions.
Ability to understand credit approval procedures, invoice interpretations, wire transfers, credit card and check over the phone payments
Participate in Aggreko's drive for business revenue growth and customer satisfaction, utilizing tools and techniques as recommended in Orange Excellence.
Maintain good understanding of Aggreko's systems which support Rental processes
Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of relevant experience
5 - 10 years of relevant supervisory experience in a fast-paced customer service oriented environment
Previous sales support or finance/accounting and customer service experience preferred
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
PC literacy in a Microsoft environment or ERP system, or customer relationship management (CRM) database

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
