Position Purpose


Maintain the facility in hygienically clean, sanitary and tidy condition on a shift basis


Key Accountabilities


The Sanitation Operator maintains the facility in hygienically clean, sanitary and tidy condition on a shift basis in line with ARYZTA expectations

Responsibilities



  • To utilize their experience, skill, and training to keep the production, warehouse, packing, general staff, and office areas clean and tidy during each shift.

  • Responsible for washing floors, drains, walls, ceilings, and other areas according to a specific schedule or as required.

  • Responsible for removing trash from office, staff, and production areas.

  • Responsible for removing and compacting waste cardboard from the packing area.

  • Responsible for detail cleaning of parts of the production lines during down-days.

  • Responsible for continuous maintenance of the floor via a floor scrubber.

  • Responsible for maintaining cleaning equipment, buckets, hoses, vacuums, etc, in clean and hygienic condition.

  • Assists in the preparation of the facility in advance of company visits and audits.

  • Works to maintain and improve on the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture. Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.

  • Breaking down and reassembling of equipment for cleaning purposes

  • Capable of operating all of the specialty equipment used in the cleaning process

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Math Ability - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Reasoning Ability - Understand and follow written and verbal instructions



  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.┬  Ability to write simple correspondence.┬

  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish desirable

  • Previous Experience in baking environment beneficial, not essential.┬

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
