Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the general oversight, planning and coordination of warehouse operations for a regional location. This includes leadership in managing workflow, delegation of tasks, continuous improvements and ensuring that all warehouse colleagues are properly trained in all relevant aspects of the operation. Ensures adherence to state and federal laws, OSHA requirements, and all Blue Line work rules and guidelines. This is a second shift position.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the oversight of receipt, rotation, and selection of Distribution Center product.
Works closely with the Transportation department in the researching of customer delivery exceptions to determine root cause and corrective action.
Assists DC Director to obtain an "excellent" or above rating from LCE Quality Assurance Department and outside audit firms.
Assists DC Director in recruiting and maintaining of warehouse staff.
Responsible for the maintenance of material handling equipment, refrigeration systems, and security systems.
Responsible for the welfare, training, and scheduling of warehouse staff to meet business demand, within budgeted guidelines.
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and grounds.
Monitors warehouse operations on a daily basis to ensure adherence to established performance metrics to meet customer service standards.
Completes and verifies payroll using TCP.
Responsible for the execution or oversight of daily inventory management; including communications with buyers, vendors and transportation providers.
Utilizes AS400, RF Technology, Power Warehouse functions, Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office daily.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) to four (4) years supervisory experience, preferably in distribution warehousing environment (inventory management, shipping, receiving).
Strong working knowledge of Excel with ability to create spreadsheets using formulas and utilize other functionality.
Must possess general proficiency in computer skills and programs.
Demonstrated skills in mapping/diagramming truck loads.
Demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and train colleagues, develop team environment, and lead by example.
Ability to direct work flow, and manage warehouse colleagues.
Good problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and organize workload.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Ability to fully comprehend and comply with Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality and communicate/train colleagues on the same.
Familiar with RF Technology.
Working Conditions
Acceptable working conditions. Some distractions due to elements constantly present.
When required, works in a variety of locations throughout the warehouse. Position may require continuous standing, lifting, bending, and moving of heavy materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
Working conditions less desirable than found in offices.
Able to work second shift. The ability to work over- time as needed as well as a flexible schedule (holidays, weekends and various shifts, etc.).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
